Lafert Group's permanent magnet synchronous motors offer IE5 and IE6 energy efficiency and combine the advantages of asynchronous and servo technologies.

HPS Series IE6 / Permanent magnet synchronous motors achieving energy efficiency level IE6 Hyper Efficiency.

They combine the electrical design of brushless servo motors with the mechanical design of asynchronous motors.

The motors in this series ensure high efficiency and strong torque across the entire speed range.

They are suitable for both quadratic torque and constant torque applications.

These applications require high performance during continuous operation with variable speed. In such a duty cycle, the difference in efficiency accumulates over the entire service life.

What IE6 Hyper Efficiency means

IE6 Hyper Efficiency is the highest energy efficiency level under IEC TS 60034-30-2:2016. Compared to level IE5, energy losses are 20% lower.

For a 7.5 kW motor at 3000 rpm, efficiency rises from 90.1% at level IE3 to 93.8% at level IE6.

Over 6000 operating hours per year this means around 1970 kWh less energy consumed, multiplied by the electricity price at the specific site.

The same motor moves from frame size 132 to frame size 112, and the weight drops from 53 kg to 26 kg.

The combination with Lafert VFDs allows the full potential of IE6 motors to be exploited.
