Lafert ATEX brushless servo motor for Zone 2 and 22

Made in Italy  Made in Italy

Lafert Group's brushless servo motors represent excellence in controlled motion.

ATEX Series / Brushless servo motors certified for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres - zone 2 (gas) and zone 22 (dust).

The motors comply with Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX) and with standards EN IEC 60079-0:2018, EN IEC 60079-7:2015/A1:2018, EN IEC 60079-31:2014 and IEC 60034-1:2017.

The type examination certificate is TÜV IT 15 ATEX 047 X.

Zone 2 is covered by the "increased safety ec" protection method, providing protection level EPL Gc. Zone 22 is covered by protection "by enclosure tc" with level EPL Dc, the maximum surface temperature of the motor being 135 °C.

Categories 3G and 3D indicate installation in environments where an explosive atmosphere is expected for no more than 10 hours per year.

The ATEX design covers two ranges - ATEX Servo with square flange from 58 to 270 mm and torque from 0.25 Nm to 300 Nm and ATEX Ultra Compact with flange from 58 to 142 mm and torque from 0.36 Nm to 30 Nm.

Both are supplied with resolver and optional 24 Vdc brake.
